What makes these different
Most free word games online are built from a generic dictionary, which makes them fine as games and useless as practice. These are built from SpellingJoy’s grade lists — kindergarten through grade 6 — so a child playing word search on a Tuesday is hunting the same words they will be tested on that Friday. A teacher can point at the game and say what it is for.
They are also built for a classroom rather than an app store. Nothing installs, nothing signs in, no child types their name, and no data about a player is stored anywhere. The scoreboards use handles the game invents — SwiftOtter, CleverHeron — so a public board can never point at a child.
One link for the whole class
Every game has a Challenge your class button behind the trophy icon. It gives you a link; everyone who opens it gets the same puzzle — the same seven letters, the same grid, the same five words — and their scores land on one board. It works as a five-minute warm-up, an early-finisher task, or something to send home on a Friday.
