Word lists for every UFLI Foundations lesson
124 lessons, 3,796 words, in the order UFLI Foundations teaches them. Every word uses only spellings taught by that lesson — so a child on lesson 34 can read every word on the lesson 34 page. Free, and every list opens as a game or a printable.
These are our own word lists, built to follow the order UFLI Foundations teaches its sounds in. What makes a list follow UFLI Foundations
Not that the words contain the new sound — that a child could read every one of them. A structured sequence never uses a spelling it has not taught, so a lesson 34 list may only draw on lessons 1 to 34. That is the rule these lists are built to, word by word, and it is why lesson 12 has no hot in it: h is not taught until lesson 23.
Heart words are kept out entirely. Of, to and so look like short-o words and say nothing of the sort; they are learned by sight, not sounded out, and a phonics list containing them teaches the wrong lesson.
