Building a weekly list

How do I make a spelling list for my class?

Choose the grade, set how many words you want, and the list builds itself from curriculum-aligned words for that level. If a word does not suit your class, press "Different words" to draw the next set.

Can I use my own words instead?

Yes. Switch to "My own words" and paste them one per line or comma separated. The list, the copy button and the printed sheet all follow whatever you paste.

How many spelling words should be on a weekly list?

Most elementary classrooms run 10 to 20 words a week, weighted toward one or two spelling patterns rather than a scatter of unrelated words. Fewer words taught by pattern beats a long list learned by rote.

What is the difference between this and the test generator?

This builds the word list itself — the thing you hand out or copy into a planner. The test generator turns a list into a test sheet with answer lines, or an online test students take with audio.
