This week your child meets the letters m, s, t and the short a sound, and reads their very first words. Let the app lead each short session. Afterward, ask your child to show you the sounds. On day 5 they will draw a mouse and copy the four letters. Praise the sounds, not speed.
Meet the Mouse
Meet the mouse. He is small and soft. Look at his round pink ears. A mouse has long whiskers on his nose. Whiskers help him feel in the dark. A mouse makes his nest with grass and moss. Mice love to munch. They eat seeds and corn. A mouse sleeps in the day. At night he comes out to find food. His long tail helps him climb. Squeak, squeak. That is how mice talk. Good night, little mouse.
