Before you decide
- What does my child actually do each day?
- One story a week across five short days: meet the story, word work, what it means, fix a sentence and re-read, then read a line aloud and write a short response. About twenty minutes.
- Which grades are covered?
- Kindergarten to Grade 4, each planned as a 36 week year.
- Do I need a card to start?
- Yes. The first 7 days are free and you are not charged during them, but the card is taken up front so nothing interrupts your child on day 8. Cancel inside the week and you pay nothing.
- When am I charged, and can I cancel?
- Nothing for the first 7 days. After that, Annual is one payment of $79.99 for the year; Monthly and Family bill every month. All renew automatically and you can cancel any time from Manage subscription — you keep the time you have paid for.
- What happens to my child if I cancel?
- Nothing is deleted. Their buddy, their stars and their place in the year are kept exactly as they left them, and they pick up there the day you come back. Lessons stop at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Is this an accredited curriculum?
- No. SpellingJoy ELA is a standards-aware AI tutor, not an accredited program. Parents use it as the daily English lesson and keep the Friday reports as a record of work.
